BEHIND MEGALY
Meet the face
CREATOR + FOUNDER
Nurse Meg has been a bedside nurse for many areas in a variety of hospitals. She started in cardiology, left the hospital to be a Camp Medic Supervisor, and then returned to bedside to explore Travel Nursing.
She traveled around the West Coast to work in many hospital environments, from Level 1 Trauma Centers to Critical Access Hospitals, in units such as Telemetry, Step-down ICU, Pre-op, PACU, General Surgical, Orthopedics, and Oncology. Since traveling, she has specialized in Cath Lab Prep + Recovery and works in Trauma PACU for both adult and pediatric patients.
She is an experienced Clinical Professor, has trained in forensics, and is still a mentor to the many nurses she has taught or precepted over the years.
More than anything, she is passionate about creating innovative tools and supporting our community of nurses with practical + relevant bedside education.
NURSE MEG
Supporting + guiding the next generation of nurses to feel empowered + equipped.
Hi! I’m Meg.
Every nurse has a career journey that’s unique to them. I wholeheartedly believe we all deserve a solid practical foundation so we can thoroughly explore what each of us is meant to do! For some of us, we stick to mastering one niche, and sometimes we seek out a new specialty every couple of years—to each their own!
Personally, I’ve explored SO many avenues over the past 10+ years that have been equally fun, exciting, hard, intellectually stimulating, unique, bland, disappointing, exhilarating, and adventurous! I wouldn’t change it for anything. This career is a hidden gem and the diversity of this profession is absolutely wild.
Lets just say, I have had the best time exploring this license—and I plan to continue exploring every angle of it I possibly can!
One thing I have consistently found joy in throughout my career is teaching. Whether it be new graduate nurses for their 13-week orientations, nursing students shadowing me on tele, EMTs and nursing students at a summer camp, or university students on med-surg floors and perisurgical areas as a Clinical Professor—I am passionate about giving students practical knowledge, tools, and resources that truly show them how to apply what they’ve learned in school.
MEGALY allows me to continue that mentorship and preceptorship to YOU.
So let’s get started because the tools, documents, and resources I have been creating and gathering for years are now available to you!
NICE TO MEET YOU
